KNOB 2014 felt the rhythm

Thursday, Oct. 30 saw one of KNOBs biggest crowds show up early and stay late for all three performers. Opening, Francis Moss (David Lord) played through a few short solo guitar pieces announced dryly from the stage. Getting up in between each piece to talk into the microphone, Lord elicited oddly aimed laughter after each song announcement.

The third edition of I Got Sole is prepped to keep your eyes fixed directly at a shoegaze. Wichita sneaker enthusiasts will, again, get a chance to share their love for a footwear that has enticed many since its inception starting with Keds, then Converse's creation of the original Chuck Taylor, on through the expansion of the craft from Adidas to Pumas.

Wichita Symphony Orchestra hosted their first ever Media Day event and Wichita Symphony Music Director Don Reinhold and Conductor Daniel Hege was there to greet press and welcome them to the stage inside Century II Concert Hall. Seated on stage with a performers eye view of the hall, I listened to Maestro Hege lead us through the upcoming season for WSO.

The artwork for Truck or Dead Horse's newest release, a 7" vinyl pressing, features a series of five-digit numbers layered on and appears to be a code of some sort. I am certain the numbers are a farce. These jokers aren't above sending a would-be puzzle enthusiast down a dark hole for a few hours to no avail.
