Wichita Alternative Film Series to present Culture High

The Wichita Alternative Film Series will be presenting the documentary Culture High on Friday, March 6, at 7 p.m. at the Murdock Theater, 536 N. Broadway.

Described as "an amusing yet insightful portrait of cannabis prohibition and the grasp it has on society," the film tears into the current marijuana debate with arguments from both supporters and opponents of existing marijuana laws.

After the film, marijuana law reform activist Esau Freeman will discuss the April 7 Wichita ballot measure, Marijuana Sentencing Reform. There will also be discussion of the Kansas medical marijuana bill the Kansas Silver-Haired Legislature passed by a two-thirds majority.

Admission is a suggested $8 donation. No one will be turned away.
